these terrain). The long distance cross (9,5km) was dominated by the little Ethiopian Abyote Guta. Other runners in the head of this cross were Gahungu (Burundi), Gizynski (Poland) and 2 belgian athletes: Desmet and Stroobants. In the background Pieter Hendrickx run a good race and finished 27th. Hes one of the fastest belgian orienteers and proved this fact with his 20th place in WOC sprint in Danmark.In the short distance cross participated still an other young Belgian elite runner Etienne Van Gasse.
