small way of making this happen is to use the word orienteering as often as possible. Therefore, we are requesting that you use 'British Orienteering' instead of 'BOF' in as many communications as possible and definitely in ALL external communications that are seen by members of the public e.g. emails, leaflets and posters. Creating an abbreviation like BO defeats this objective. It is acceptable to use the term BOF in communications with fellow orienteers but experience has shown that the habit is often hard to get out of!
