The Womens Long race was won by the Swiss runner and multiple World Champion Simone Niggli-Luder in convincing style. Helen Bridle In the Mens event the French runner Thierry Gueorgiou also won the Gold Medal convincingly with a margin of four minutes over the Russian Valentin Novikov. Top Brit was Jon Duncan who had a good solid run to finish in the top twenty in 17th place.
