V letech 1942-1945 byla Plze? napadena ze vzduchu celkem dvanáckrát. Plze? byla b?hem 2. sv?tové války nejvíce bombardovaným místem na území Protektorátu Böhmen und Mähren. Proto se Plzni nemohlo vyhnout spojenecké bombardování. 1.nálet 26.4.1942 dopadl do polí mezi Bo?kov a vlakovou zastávkou Koterov, 6 britských letadel Stirling, krycí název akce Canonbury. Navedení letadel m?ly usnadnit signaliza?ní ohn? - ho?ící stodoly. Na akci se podílel i ?eskoslovenský para?utista rtm. Kubi?, jeho? pozd?j?ím hlavním úkolem m?l být atentát na Heydricha. 2.nálet 5.5.1942 dopad do les? mezi Krkavec a Ledeckou plavírnu, 5 britských letadel…
