Silver medal in FC long distance
I could finally take the first long distance medal in mens class yesterday in Kytäjä. The battle between the three best was tight and just after the last 1,4km loop it could be seen that Jani is the best long distance orienteerer also on FC-level. My performance was technically one…

of the best on long distance and I could have done 2min better in this demanding terrain. I sprained my ankle at 4km point and had to think do I have to cancel the race because of the pains in downhill running. Hopefully the ankle got better after some kilometres and I could enjoy the challenging Kytäjä-terrain to the very end.
