Mulpas hadden verloren te veel tijd in het begin van de wedstrijd.Greet Oeyen startte wel goed. Zij had een virtuele finale plaats op zak na 2/3e wedstrijd. In de laatste kilometer moest ze echter te veel tijd prijs geven. Aan de finish kwam ze 25 seconden te kort.
