BTT, um evento que traz à Terra Santa um total de 141 atletas, em representação de 22 países. Presente ao longo de todas as edições dos Campeonatos, Portugal marca presença em Tel Aviv com o mais reduzido leque de atletas de sempre.Daniel Marques é o atleta português com maior cotação e mais experiência nestas andanças. Ocupa actualmente o 23º lugar do ?ranking? mundial, teve uma boa prestação nos recentes Europeus de Hillerød (Dinamarca) e desde Ballarat (Austrália), em 2004, que não falha uma participação em Mundiais. Tem como melhor um 16º lugar na prova de Sprint dos Mundiais de 2007…
