Brozkova and Ãsterbø sprint champions at WUOC
Ãystein Kvaal Ãsterbø
and Dana Brozkova won the gold medals in todays city-sprint in the old
city of Koscice in the World University Orienteering Championships. Ãsterbø
had a large margin for a sprint race - 12 seconds - whereas Brozkova won by
only 2 seconds after having missed a control…

by nearly half a minute. Charming city center The old city center of Koscice was a very nice arena for the sprint race of the WUOC. One of the controls was placed in the middle of the famous music water fountain where a small bridge had been built for the runners. Thus the runners could cool down a little bit - which was surely a pleasure in the warm weather here in Koscice. See at the bottom of this article for the map with the men elite course.
