Last weekend the Norwegian selection races for the World Championship in Hungary in August was arranged in Østerdalen. I think it is the nicest area in Norway for orienteering, and it is always a pleasure to run there. Friday the Middle distance was held in Folldal on a brand new…

map. I did a good race, and lost only some seconds a few places. It was really tight between the runners in the top, and my result was a 4th place, 27 seconds behind Anders Nordberg. Saturday the Sprint was held in Os, mostly in forest, like it is expected the WOC Sprint will be. I lost some time in the beginning of my race because of hesitation and not a optimal route choice to the 4th control (right was better), and on the 5th control I was already half a minute behind the lead.
