was disqualified at one of those for punching too fast. BUT Ive just realised, having seen the crazy butterfly loops (wasp loops?) on the Swiss teams long/middle selection race, TSC has given me some valuable butterfly practise. There is a skill to keeping calm and orienteering (not just compassing) to the correct control. A skill which I definitely did not have in 2 long races last year with butterflies; Pinse at Hamar (180 degree error leaving map exchange/ central control) and EOC Long final (missed the central control every time, losing increasing amounts of time with each miss).Butterfly loops seem…
