World Champs Long Race
Long legs, lots and lots of route choice and close times ruled the day. A different game from the sprint race of yesterday, pushing yourself on and on in the solitude of the forest was a feeling for many of the runners today. 2 long route choices faced both finals…

with times over 15 minutes for both. The women's race was first and Jenny was 3rd out into the terrain - not easy and the 2 in-front were the Chinese and Japanese runner. Perhaps it was good to run in the front alone and by the spectator control Jenny was first into the forest and must have run half the course without a chance of seeing any other runners, which is not something most of us ever do in our orienteering careers. She stuck to the task, kept orienteering well and had a good performance with a personal best 26th…
