a difference in the local attitude towards physical exercise. Whilst out running in Glasgow the main hazard would be avoiding getting a brick, deep-fried mars bar or irn bru can thrown at you by a cheeky wee ned. In Trondheim its considered normal to go running and the main hazard is probably avoiding roller skiers.The attitude to training is also very different. Most elite orienteers in Scotland train with running clubs where even the warm up can be run at an alarmingly high intensity.
