Estafeta. No sector masculino alinharam à partida 50 equipas e a regra veio, uma vez mais, a confirmar-se. A segunda equipa da Rússia e a principal equipa suiça travaram entre si empolgante duelo, o qual apenas se resolveu já com a meta à vista. Os russos até nem começaram bem, com Roman Efimov a fazer um primeiro percurso pouco melhor que sofrível e a entregar o testemunho a Dmitry Tsvetkov na 12ª posição.
