do 6º Campeonato Mundial de Orientação em BTT consagrou o australiano Adrian Jackson como o grande senhor desta disciplina. Numa prova de grande complexidade técnica, Jackson ?voou? para uma vitória merecida, cumprindo os 21 km de prova no tempo de 54:13. Soren Strunge (Dinamarca) e Lubomir Tomecek (República Checa) garantiram os dois restantes lugares do pódio, com registos de 54:39 e 55:26, respectivamente, com a particularidade de Tomecek ?bisar? a medalha de bronze, conquistada em 2007 nos mundiais disputados no seu país.
