terrain is typical Israeli pine forest, on a steep hill, with lots of rocky features and very good visibility. I started at the top, and the view is fantastic, but I didnt take the camera today, so here is a sample of the base material instead: The most difficult aspect of the mapping today was deciding which features to mark on the map. The steeper parts are no problem, but in the flatter areas of forest there are scattered small rocks (or large stones) and cairns (or piles of stones), of varying sizes.
