EUROPEAN ORIENTEERING CHAMPIONSHIP: 1st day

Dopo un lungo viaggio (sveglia questa mattina alle 5.25) siamo arrivati al centro gare di Ventspils (Lettonia) alle 17 circa. Dopo aver ritirato il materiale e le prime informazioni tecnico-logistiche, abbiamo fatto una corsetta nelle vicinanze per visionare quello che sarà il terreno in parte simile alla gara sprint, seguita…

da cena e breve riunione tecnica. Direi piuttosto buono limpatto: sembrano promettere bene le carte ed i terreni, buono il clima, ottimi lalloggio e la cena e soprattutto si comincia ad entrare in clima europeo. Domattina model event sul terreno piuttosto tecnico che sarà simile a quello delle gare long e middle: sarà lunica occasione che avremo prima delle gare per testare tecniche e strategie da utilizzare sui boschi lettoni. Vedremo domani quali saranno le sensazioni!
