the strategy was simple – follow the rabbit Ben Ashkettle in 53” seconds per lap. I did as told to for the first 2000m and was able to finish up alone on pace in 8’44”55. That converts to a 8’23”96 on sea level, so not too bad for four weeks after the marathon and not a whole lot of fast running. Despite the snow on the ground we are running in shorts in Flagstaff as the spring sun is constantly shining and from now on I will join my teammates in workouts.
