Het waren uiteraard vooral militairen, gepensioneerden, studenten en enkele uitzonderingen die verlof konden nemen, die present tekenden. Uiteindelijk waren er 130 ploegen (bestaande uit telkens 3 lopers) die aan de start verschenen.De wedstrijd zelf was weer prachtig georganiseerd.
