Team of 9 athletes represented Great Britain at the 2007 Euromeeting held in Seefeld, Austria last week. They traveled out a few days early to practice on the three different map scales being used over the three races (1:5,000, 1:10,000 & 1:15,000)!

- the terrain was steep but the forests were runnable and the maps good quality. SPRINT Friday afternoon saw the first race - the sprint with the finish at the Olympic centre (1964 and 1976 winter Olympics). The course started in the forest and moved into the town centre for a typical urban sprint race finish. The courses were fair and testing and all the British runners had some small misses. The best run of the day was Mark Nixon finishing 17th - only 90 secs behind. It was obvious that the nations entered in the races were all strong…
