Baltic Orienteering Championships were held in Latvia last weekend. It is a traditional meeting between youth, junior and elite runners from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.The long distance race on Saturday was also counting for WRE and it was one of selection races for the WOC for Lithuanian and Latvian teams.…

In the mens class Simonas Krepsta was the big favourite, as medalists from EOC Martins Sirmais and Olle Kärner did not enter the event. He proved to be the strongest on the day over a physically demanding course over 15,2km. Having had some small problems at the beginning of the course he was a bit surprised to see that the second placed Estonian Erkki Aadli was almost 7 minutes behind him with a fellow countryman Marek Nomm in the third spot. Womens race was much tighter. Lithuanian rising star Sandra Pauzaite came in first with 1min36 seconds advantage over Estonias…
