Today saw the first day of the World Cup hosted by the Swedish O-Ringen where runners battled for positions in deep mud and rain.

(NOR) both winning by seconds! Daniel Marston produced the best time of the day in the British camp, finishing in 29th place. He was closely followed by Nick Barrable, Matthew Speake, Jon Duncan and Scott Fraser with Graham Gristwood just missing out on automatic qualification by seconds. All these runners qualify for the middle A final, which takes place tomorrow. Pippa Whitehouse was the best placed woman, and qualifies in 39th place.
