After two trainings in relevant terrain for WOC middle distance, we ran our first test race on Monday. This course was used for last Ukrainian middle champs. Norwegian team was also there and competed just before us. Best time went for Anders Nordberg in 29 minutes for 7km and 21…

controls. I did few mistakes (total 2min) that put me out of his pace but was still please to finish the course in 30 minutes (4’20”/km). Best time in Ukrainian champs was also approximately 29 minutes. Second Belgian runner was Joost Talloen in 36 minutes. The terrain expected for WOC middle distance will probably be greener and more detailed in some places. But the average speed will probably be quite high. Map WOC test long has been run also with Norwegian team in really hot weather (+35°c). I started quite fast but from 6th control where there were no flag…
