are in. Each country can only have a maximum of two competitors in each heat. The top 20 places from each heat qualify for the A-final, with the remainder in the B-final. In previous years a C-final was required due to numbers but this year with the event being held in Australia the numbers have declined and this is not required.With the depleted field sizes due to cost and travel constraints for many countries, the NZ team will be heavily favoured to do better in qualifying than it has historically done so.
