Knarston got away near the end, coming in for an early placing of 3rd, with much of the field still to run.Much of the interest in the girls field was on Australian Vanessa Round, who had a lead early on in the race. Round was favoured to do well in the granite terrain, which proved to be a good bet. Round ended up placing sixth, for her first ever podium place at a JWOC.Kate Morrison…
