På trods af næsten 80 minutters løb, var det et spørgsmål om sekunder, der afgjorde langdistancen for danske Annika Simonsen på langdistancen ved studenter VM i Gondiswill, Schweiz i dag. Bare tre sekunder, var der op til bronzemedaljen, for den formstærke nordsjællænder fra FIF Hillerød, som endte på en fjerdeplads,…

4.29 efter den suveræne schweiziske vinder, Katrin Müller.  Müller vandt med hele 3 minutter og 46 sekunder ned til finske Ida Haapala og yderligere 40 sekunder ned til Anu Tuomisto, også fra Finland. Annika Simonsen løber en stærk afslutning, hvor hun efter at have tabt nogle sekunder på et par stræk, løber Anu Tuomistos forspring ind til kun at være et enkelt sekund på andensidste posten. Hun taber otte sekunder på næste stræk, og kæmper sig i mål, seks sekunder hurtigere end finnen på det næsten to minutter lange, kuperede opløb, hvilket desværre kun rækker til en tredjeplads i mål,…
