Adventure Racing World Championships
Heather Monro and her team-mates Phil Scarf (EPOC), Jon Emberton (EPOC) and Alastair Morris finished the ARWC in a very creditable 22nd place on the shortened course.
Bad weather and tough courses meant only the best 5 teams survived the full course with Team Nike finishing in first place.

racing for Team PlanetFear said before the race; 'This is a big step for us as our longest was 24 hours and KIMMs. We've done lots overnight training, and getting out overnight, plus training on ropes and kayaking especially. We've also done less racing this year as we are focused on this. This is like a life's work - and now we are using all our endurance sport experience - with the aim of finishing in good order, staying safe and enjoying ourselves.'
