Relay at the NORDIC Championships
The relay took place this morning; traditionally the relays would be at the end of the championships but not at the 2007 Nordics.
This is the only practise relay for the orienteering nations to compete against each other before the World Championships, so the pressure was on for the nations…

to perform. The new style 2007 World Cup series does not include any relays. Team Switzerland and Team Sweden took the gold in men's and women's relay. The GB men, (in running order) Graham Gristwood, Jon Duncan and Jamie Stevenson finished in a creditable 6th place with less than 3 mins separating the first 6 places. This is a fantastic result and a place on the podium, with Graham showing that he can perform in relays too!
