British Orienteering would like to announce the appointment of Gareth Candy as the new Start and Junior Potential Manager with effect from the 23rd April. very strong candidates for the positions. Gareths applied coaching degree and his orienteering administrative and coaching background make him ideal for the position. Appointing him to both positions adds continuity to the performer pathway. I am sure that he will bring a fresh perspective to the Start and Junior Potential Programmes. Gareth has a degree in Applied Coaching Science and is an Australian Level 2 Orienteering Coach. In addition to his recent roles with Orienteering Australia he has worked at the ACT Academy of Sport as a Sports Scientist and as an exercise physiologist with FitSense Australia.
