Rolling through the limits

My training has been going well altogether lately. I am still doing high mileage (last two weeks 191 and 180km) in order to get appropriate economy for my upcoming track season. Starting from this week it is time to start speeding up in the workouts for the last two weeks…

before my first 10000m of the season in Palo Alto on the last day of March. My mileage has been a lot higher this winter compared to last year while my workouts have been on the conservative side. Before my current PR in the 10000m from 2005 my workouts consisted of just Threshold runs and one (!) single workout on the track two days before the race. Compared to that my current training is intense, but I believe it will lead to a success – who wants to do the same things over and over again anyway? My long sight…
