Great Britain team for WOC 2006

The Great Britain WOC 2006 Team consists of 13 runners. Jamie Stevenson is the best on the World Ranking in the team with a 22th position. Jamie became one of the world stars by winning the WOC-gold in sprint in Switzerland 2003 - and showed with his silver medal at the sprint at EOC in Estonia that he is still in the top. Another strong sprinter in the Great Britain team is David Brickhill-Jones with many good PWT results, who changed country from Australia to Great Britain before this season. BJ has been injured for much of the spring season, but is reported to be in good shape and ready for the WOC sprint.

Strong relay team
However, there are more strong British runners - and BJ is not on the very strong British relay team, which is reported to consist of Jamie Stevenson, Oli Johnson and Jon Duncan. The Brits managed a Bronze medal in the WOC relay in 2003 - can they match this performance this year?

Don't forget the women
Although the GB womens team is not as strong as the mens team - there are a few runners to look out for in the women team as well. Sarah Rollins is probably the best with two 8th places in last years World Cup season. She has also several good PWT competitions, and can manage a top 6 position in the sprint in Denmark.
